I have stayed in Cocolia a pair of times, around 6-7 years apart, and the most recent times being July 2027. Not only has it kept its essence fully but it has managed to do so while developing more amenities and increasing its level of service. There are not many comps in the area where you get the value for the money you spend. The palapa of the restaurant is spectacular, it is really really cool to see a pool that size - I actually believe it might be 33.3 meters but that would be to be checked with the architect!. Views from the last bungalow is absolutely incredible, but for light sleepers, another room, more immersed in the greenery, might be more adapted. Not super accesible if you have a sedan but they'll come pick you up down the hill where your car can stay, it's safe. Can't wait to go back actually.
Un gran lugar para desconectarte, descansar y estar en contacto con la naturaleza. El servicio y trato del personal es destacable, la atención de la persona que te recibe 10/10. El entorno, la comida, las vistas, las instalaciones y areas comunes muy agradables. Es un lugar para estar ahí. Sin duda volvería por más días.

We really enjoyed staying at Cocolia! The location in between the trees is beautiful and peaceful and very unique. The entire hotel area is arranged very lovingly and is well taken care off. The staff were extremely friendly and helpful. My suitcase was delayed and as I don't speak Spanish, they took care of the entire process of getting it back for me. One noteworthy fact is that you need a sturdy car, as the roads leading to the hotel are pretty bumpy and partly covered in rather big stones that can become a problem for smaller cars.
