Entra in un rifugio incantevole dove l’energia vibrante di Barcellona incontra l’eleganza contemporanea. Situato in un edificio del XIX secolo ai margini del Parc de la Ciutadella, Borneta è un boutique hotel di charme nel cuore del quartiere El Born — la zona più artistica e culturalmente vivace della città.
All’interno, le camere presentano pavimenti in legno in stile catalano, letti artigianali, opere d’arte locali e accoglienti angoli lettura. Le docce a pioggia con prodotti Le Labo aggiungono un tocco di lusso, mentre molte camere vantano terrazze private con vista sul parco o sulle strade storiche circostanti.
La terrazza è uno dei punti forti: una piscina rilassante, una scultura su misura a forma di uovo e una terrazza baciata dal sole dove gustare la colazione o un drink serale con vista panoramica su Barcellona.

Borneta is located in the El Born area, opposite Parc de la Ciutadella and just a 3-minute walk from Estació de França train station, which was perfect for our stay. Arriving at 9 a.m. after a long international flight, we knew our room wouldn’t be ready and that we were in for a loooong day, but the staff graciously welcomed us with a refresh suite stocked with Le Labo Santal bath products. This gave us somewhere to shower and change before venturing out, while also storing our bags. I truly appreciated the warm hospitality, and we were even given coffee vouchers to use at Volta restaurant on the property, which brews excellent local coffee. The lobby lounge/restaurant area is incredibly well designed, with artful touches throughout. You feel as if you’re in a friend’s living room — very comfortable but still chic. This continues into the room design, which reminds you that you’re in Spain. Far from generic or cold. I appreciated the choice to forgo housekeeping in exchange for drink vouchers, especially as we were (sadly) only staying for 2 nights. The aperitivo hour was also great value at €5, and as someone who works in design, I loved the hotel branding, right down to the menus. We briefly visited the rooftop at sunset, which features a beautiful reflective sculpture beside a small plunge pool with loungers and a bar. Borneta reignited my love for Barcelona. This was my third visit to the city, and I would gladly visit again, but now I also have my go-to hotel to recommend!
My partner and I recently stayed at the Miiro Borneta and we greatly enjoyed ourselves! The staff are friendly and thoughtful, the rooms are comfortable and beautifully designed, having the gym was a nice plus, and the breakfast buffet was fantastic. As a vegan, I especially appreciated the non dairy yogurt option at breakfast and oat milk available for tea and coffee in the rooms! I wish more hotels offered this! I also appreciated the sustainable touches like glass water bottles and water filters over plastic water bottle usage, and the free drink offered in lieu of housekeeping / towel changes. They also seem to be pet friendly, which was great to see. Finally, the location is fantastic, walkable to many key sights and well situated along several bus routes. I hope to stay here again in the future!
