Casa Malca, Tulum, Mexico

Casa Malca

An art-filled Tulum hideaway on the sands of the Riviera Maya
On Tulum’s Caribbean shoreline, Casa Malca is a beachfront escape with a mood all its own. Hidden behind a discreet entrance on the Riviera Maya, it opens into a world of sea air, tropical greenery and striking interiors, where contemporary art, bold design and the slow rhythm of the coast come together in a setting that feels both effortless and unforgettable. It has the laid-back energy people come to Tulum for, but with a richer, more expressive point of view.
Rooms and suites feel layered, atmospheric and full of personality. Ocean views, jungle-facing terraces, sculptural pieces and unexpected details give each space its own identity, moving far beyond the typical beach-hotel look. Some suites bring you even closer to the shore, while others invite long, private hours above the palms, with the sound of the sea never far away.
Days drift easily between the beach, the three swimming pools and Calma Spa, where the focus shifts fully to restoration. Alongside massages and facials, the wellness space includes a sauna, steam room, Jacuzzi and cold plunge, creating a deeper sense of retreat beneath the tropical calm. One of the pools even hides a softly lit underground grotto, adding a touch of drama to afternoons spent cooling off under the Tulum sun.

Reviews
I'd heard so many great things about this place that I had to check it out for myself—and it definitely lived up to the hype. This is my new home away from home. The staff was friendly and professional, everything was well organized, and the overall experience was excellent. It's a little on the pricey side, but it's absolutely worth it. I'd much rather spend my money here than at places that are disorganized and chaotic. The only time I felt like I got robbed was by the taxi fares—but if you want to play, you've got to pay! Overall, I highly recommend this place and can't wait to come back.
