My family spent 1 week at Amilla and had an unforgettable experience. We have had the privilege of enjoying the Maldives many times and spent a lot of time researching the different luxury hotels. We chose Amilla based on the house reef quality and that our family of 4 including 2 teenagers could stay in a single over water villa without needing to book a residence. The first thing we want to comment on that set Amilla apart from other luxury hotels we have stayed at in the Maldives and elsewhere in the world is the staff. They were simply the best. Everyone we interacted with had a spirit of hospitality and kindness, which to be so consistent and palpable, must reflect a deeply embedded culture. Each individual in my family, including our teenage sons, felt genuinely cared for and it left an impression. Thank you Asad, our Katheeb, all of the food and beverage staff, and everyone at the dive center and water excursions team for your incredible kindness! The second thing we would like to share is about the house reef and scuba diving. Our teenagers completed their 4 open water dives at Amilla to receive their licenses. We snorkeled every day multiple times and in every part of the reef surrounding Amilla. In other hotels in Maldives, often we would just snorkel in the same spot over and over because there was only 1 good area. Amilla has nice reefs surrounding the entire large island and we did see and experience different things which led us to keep exploring, including the blue hole. Thank you to the lifeguard team that we could see were constantly keeping an eye on us! Thank you Haaidh for training our sons thoroughly on diving and building their skills, confidence, and comfort. They had so much fun with you and were super impressed by your ability to spot every cool thing in the water! And then thank you to Tania for the refresher course for my wife and I. We had so much fun diving with you and are thankful for the pictures you took. The entire dive team and ship crew were fantastic. Also, thank you to Sobah and the ship crew that took us on the blue hole excursion on our last day. Thank you Asad and Sobah for the last minute arrangements. Regarding the food, it was fantastic. We pre-booked most of our dinners in advance to enjoy all of the restaurants. Starting with breakfast, we loved that the menu changed every day. They do a combination of a la carte orders which change daily plus a buffet selection which also varies day by day. Again comparing with other luxury hotels in Maldives, usually we would be pretty tired of the breakfast by the end of the trip. Living in Tokyo, my wife is very passionate on pastries and desserts. She couldn’t stop talking about the pastries at breakfast. My son couldn’t stop eating the croissants. Cookies at breakfast is both decadent and diabolical. Thank you to the entire breakfast staff and we are so sorry that we do not remember everyone’s names. But thank you to Chef Chandra who spent time chatting with us each day, to Afsan who talked with us many times sharing his life stories and sage advice for our sons, to Mode and Yaseen who provided such kind and friendly service, and to many others. I would also like to say how much we enjoyed the Maldivian night and food from Chef Naf, whom I got to meet and talk with. We enjoyed the performances by the large dance and drumming group and then the music and singing performed by the duo. It was the last night of our trip and sitting there on the sand listening to their singing and guitar with so much passion, it was just beautiful. It was a perfect ending to a perfect trip. And that’s kind of what made Amilla so special. You take any of these individual experiences and they are great. But when you add them all up together experiencing them every day and at every turn, you get something truly remarkable and unforgettable. Thank you to everyone at Amilla!! We can’t wait to visit again someday!!!!

We are staying here for around 2 weeks and today we are almost half way through. By far this is one of the best Hotels we visited as a family in Maldives and on any other Islands across. The staff is simply over friendly and everyone is very keen to make our stay special and enjoyable, they ask the right questions and go the extra mile to support. Food quality is good with nice variety of selections, the gym has a spectacular view, the snorkelling is nice. The tennis courts are with good quality, racquets and amazing coach. The football court is well maintained and the matches are memorable over there. Thanks to all staff and we would consider coming again!

We had a truly wonderful and memorable stay at Amilla Maldives Resort. The resort is exceptionally well organized, and everything runs smoothly thanks to the highly professional and attentive staff. From the very beginning, we felt genuinely cared for, and every detail of our stay was handled with great professionalism and kindness. A very special thank you to our Katheeb(a), Monica, who was incredibly kind, thoughtful, and always ready to assist us with a smile. We would also like to sincerely thank Yousuf, who was always there to help whenever we needed anything. In addition, Dewi, Shahbaj, and Mode treated us exceptionally well and made us feel truly welcome throughout our stay. The wine tasting experience with Simba was absolutely amazing. Simba took great care in selecting the best available wines and pairing them perfectly with our food, which elevated our dining experience to another level. The food at the resort was excellent. Feeling Koi, the Japanese restaurant, was outstanding, and we also greatly enjoyed both the Italian and Indian restaurants, which offered high-quality dishes and wonderful flavors. The only area where we feel there is room for improvement is the Greek restaurant, Tessera. While the concept is nice, it is missing some essentials of Greek cuisine. In particular, the spirits menu lacks Ouzo, which we believe is a must-have for any authentic Greek restaurant. Overall, our experience at Amilla Maldives was exceptional. It was a beautiful, relaxing, and truly memorable vacation, and we are very grateful to the entire team for taking such great care of us. Thank you for everything—we hope to return again in the future.
