Set just outside Dubrovnik’s ancient walls, Palace Natali feels like one of those places the city has kept to itself. What was once a Renaissance summer residence now lives on as an adults-only retreat where stone buildings, quiet gardens and distant Adriatic views create a slower, more private side of Dubrovnik.
Spread between the main residence and separate stone houses, the hotel has a character that feels layered rather than uniform. Some spaces lean into the heritage of the estate, with thick walls and a more classic feel, while others bring a lighter, more contemporary ease. The suites with balconies are especially inviting, opening onto private outdoor corners that make the most of the light, the sea air and the sense of being just above the city, but pleasantly apart from it.
Much of the day unfolds outdoors. The pool terrace is set in an elevated position overlooking Dubrovnik and the Adriatic, with loungers angled towards the view and a hydromassage tub tucked into the scene. Citrus trees, rosemary and Mediterranean planting soften every edge, while the sound of water and the scent of the gardens give the whole place a restful, sun-drenched rhythm. It is easy to spend hours here doing very little at all, which is exactly the point.

Driving in Dubrovnik is often less practical than it seems, especially around the historic centre, but Palace Natali makes things much easier for guests arriving by car. The hotel offers free private on-site parking with no reservation required, along with an electric vehicle charging station for added convenience.

Simply wonderful, a historic aristocratic home lovingly turned into a place to relax and enjoy the even more historic Dubrovnik. It isn't just the marvelous restoration, blending the old with the new; the friendly and helpful staff add to the relaxed atmosphere. One small thing inspiring many guests, they created a study and provide the "hotel fountain pen" with paper, envelopes and a post box to encourage letter writing. It works, the letter box was crammed with letters ready for posting by the hotel on our last day.
We chose Palace Natali for our honeymoon in Dubrovnik, and it was truly one of the best decisions of our trip. I would absolutely stay here again, even for a regular holiday. The property is even more beautiful in person than in the photos. The architecture feels very authentic to Croatia, while the interiors are elegant, contemporary, and beautifully mixed with classic European touches. Everything is extremely well maintained and thoughtfully designed. The gardens are gorgeous, with beautiful olive trees and a very peaceful atmosphere. The pool is lovely and comfortable, the gym is excellent, and the hotel restaurant is also very good. Because the hotel has only 21 rooms, it feels very private and intimate. At times, it almost felt like we had the entire property to ourselves, which made our honeymoon even more special. Our room was spacious, comfortable, and very clean. The housekeeping was excellent, and we loved the Diptyque amenities. The staff was also incredibly friendly, kind, and welcoming throughout our stay. Another thing we really appreciated was the location. We were very happy not to stay directly in the busy Old Town. Palace Natali gave us the perfect balance between being close to everything and still having a peaceful place to come back to. Uber rides to the Old Town took only about 4–5 minutes, were inexpensive, and we never had any trouble getting a car in Dubrovnik. We highly recommend Palace Natali. It was the perfect choice for us, and we had a wonderful stay.
