The 525 rooms of the Lopesan Baobab Resort, decorated with soothing African tones but with a modern touch, have solid wood furniture. All rooms have views of the pool, gardens or mountains, and feature high-class comforts such as very comfortable mattresses and pillows.
The furnishings are completed by a coffee machine, stocked bar fridge, kettle, flat screen TV and courtesy set with bathrobes included.
Much brighter and more spacious, having a living area with a separate sofa, are the suites, which also feature a double flat-screen TV and a fantastic bathroom with a double sink, Bvlgari signed toiletries, bathrobes, and a separate bath from the shower.
A 10-minute walk from the famous Maspalomas lighthouse, the resort is located in a strategic location, close to restaurants, shopping malls, and souvenir shops.
Maspalomas beach is about 600 meters away, where the magnificent desert dunes are also visible, while Playa del Ingles known for its sandy beach and nightlife is only 10 minutes away by car.
The easily accessible airport is only 30 minutes away by car. With just 15 minutes more you can not miss the capital, Las Palmas, a city rich in history, tourism and nature.
Food & Drink
The Babob Resort offers a wide selection of bars and restaurants inside. Pili Pili specializes in all types of grilled meats shines with its refined cuisine inspired by Africa. The main restaurants including the Buffet Baobab and the Manula Restaurant offer variety of foods with different themes every night.
Excellent the African dinner on Tuesday (during our visit) with curry rice, chicken wings in barbecue sauce and fish marinated and cooked in coconut milk and curry.
Breakfast is not to be missed at the Baobab Buffet with a brilliant choice of fresh fruit, smoothies, cheeses, breads, desserts, as well as an à la carte menu of eggs, pancakes and African specialties.
During the day, enjoy a cocktail prepared in great detail at the Henry Stanley Bar, or taste some snacks with a pool view at Richard Burton.
A kind and smiling staff, but sometimes a little absent especially in the restaurant area is one of the few points against which the Baobab can afford.
The wi-fi also that is not fully present in the various areas (unfortunately requires a fee).
Things to do on a daily basis include yoga classes, daily activities in the resort, games room and daily shows, while paid activities include days at the two golf courses within 3 km of the resort.
Otherwise, you can spend your days lying in one of the 7 infinity pools, (some for children) including sun beds, towels, umbrellas and sandy beaches.
