Un rifugio tropicale modellato da acqua, giungla e quieta riservatezza
Nascosto tra mangrovie e lagune sinuose della Riviera Maya, Banyan Tree Mayakoba ha quel tipo di scenario capace di far sparire quasi subito il resto del mondo. L’acqua attraversa il resort, la vegetazione tropicale addolcisce ogni percorso e l’intero luogo sembra immerso nel paesaggio, più che semplicemente costruito al suo interno. Poco a nord di Playa del Carmen, sulla costa caraibica del Messico, offre un’interpretazione più appartata e suggestiva della classica vacanza al mare.
La privacy è uno dei suoi lussi più grandi. Ogni villa sembra un rifugio nascosto, con piscina privata, ampi spazi esterni e interni pensati per trasmettere calma più che ostentazione. Alcune sono perfette per soggiorni romantici e lenti, altre offrono alle famiglie tutto lo spazio necessario per sistemarsi al meglio, con soluzioni più ampie, più camere da letto e ambienti comunicanti. Il risultato è insieme intimo e arioso, con la natura sempre vicina e mai ridotta a semplice sfondo.
Qui nulla chiede di avere fretta. Le mattine possono iniziare con un giro in bicicletta tra i sentieri della proprietà, qualche ora tranquilla in riva al mare o una nuotata in una delle due piscine del resort prima che la giornata si scaldi del tutto. Più tardi c’è tempo per golf, tennis, yoga o per una sessione nella palestra aperta ventiquattr’ore su ventiquattro, anche se il piacere di non fare quasi nulla resta parte essenziale dell’esperienza. Quando invece nasce il desiderio di esplorare, Playa del Carmen, Tulum e perfino Chichén Itzá diventano tappe perfette da aggiungere al viaggio.

Our stay at Banyan Tree Mayakoba was truly an exceptional experience. From the moment we arrived, we were impressed by the beautiful property, impeccable cleanliness, outstanding service, and the level of luxury throughout the resort. A special thank you to Monsrat, Fernanda, April, and Eduardo, who went above and beyond to make our stay memorable. Their warmth, professionalism, and attention to detail really stood out. They made us feel genuinely welcomed and taken care of throughout our visit. The resort is also incredibly family-friendly, which made our stay especially enjoyable. The food was excellent, with a fantastic variety of options, and we were very happy to find that there were great halal-friendly choices available as well. What truly sets Banyan Tree Mayakoba apart is the combination of ultra-luxury, exceptional service, beautiful surroundings, cleanliness, and genuine hospitality. It feels luxurious without losing that personal and welcoming touch. Thank you to the entire Banyan Tree Mayakoba team—and especially Montserrat, Fernanda, April, and Eduardo—for an unforgettable stay. We would absolutely return and highly recommend this resort to families looking for a world-class luxury experience.
We had a wonderful stay at Banyan Tree Mayakoba. The whole resort is absolutely beautiful, set in an amazing natural environment, with a stunning lobby and fantastic villas that are spacious, comfortable and very well designed. The food throughout the resort was also very good, and we really enjoyed the different restaurants and the quality of the meals. What made our stay particularly special, however, was the exceptional service and the people. Everyone we met was genuinely warm, friendly and attentive, and you really feel that the staff want you to have a great experience. The breakfast team in particular was fantastic, such lovely people and consistently excellent service every morning. A very special mention must go to Alejandro, who looked after our villa, number 205. He took such great care of our room throughout the stay, with incredible attention to detail, and always made sure everything was perfect for us. Thank you, Alejandro! The only negative point would be that we found the restaurants a little overpriced, even considering the high standard of the resort. Overall, though, we had a fantastic experience. Banyan Tree Mayakoba is a truly beautiful place, but it is the kindness and quality of the people working there that really makes it special. We would happily return.
Lo recomiendo muy lindo lugar
This was our second stay at Banyan Tree Mayakoba, and somehow it was just as incredible as we remembered. During this trip, we stayed in two different villas—the Wellbeing Villa and an Oceanfront Villa—and on our previous visit we stayed in a Lagoon Villa. Honestly, neither one of us can decide which we like best. They each have something different to offer, but all of them are beautiful, incredibly private, and make it very easy to never want to leave the villa. The attention to detail throughout the entire resort is remarkable. Everything is beautifully maintained, the property is peaceful and lush, and the service is consistently excellent without ever feeling intrusive. The food is another huge highlight. From Saffron to Cello to Sands and everywhere else we ate, we genuinely did not have a bad meal during our stay. The quality and consistency across the restaurants is impressive. We also booked the whale shark excursion through the resort, which was an absolutely unforgettable experience and easily one of the highlights of our trip. A special shoutout to Hendricks, who took such great care of us and surprised us with complimentary breakfast at Sands on our last morning. It was an incredibly thoughtful gesture and such a wonderful way to end the trip. There are plenty of beautiful resorts, but Banyan Tree Mayakoba continues to be something special for us. Between the privacy of the villas, incredible food, beautiful property, wonderful staff, and the attention to every little detail, it’s very difficult to find anything to criticize. We absolutely love it here and will be back for sure.
