Södermalm ha sempre seguito un ritmo tutto suo. Creativa, indipendente e naturalmente elegante, questa parte di Stoccolma si racconta attraverso strade acciottolate, ristoranti di quartiere e boutique dedicate alla creatività contemporanea. Ospitato in un edificio del XIX secolo originariamente progettato per re Oscar I, Stockholm Stadshotell restituisce nuova vita a un importante frammento della storia cittadina.
Le proporzioni storiche sono rimaste intatte, ma l’atmosfera è calda anziché formale. Finestre ad arco, arredi realizzati a mano, coperte in lana e tappeti dai colori intensi addolciscono l’architettura, mentre i dettagli svedesi conferiscono carattere a ogni camera e suite. Le sistemazioni affacciate sul cortile guardano verso gli alberi di magnolia, mentre le Suite Attico si elevano sopra Södermalm con viste sui tetti, zone giorno separate, caminetti e vasche da bagno indipendenti.
La proposta gastronomica spazia dalla cucina stagionale e rilassata del Bistro, ispirata ai prodotti svedesi e alle specialità del giorno scritte sulla lavagna, al menu più intimo di Matsalen, servito sotto gli affreschi restaurati dell’antica cappella. Anche la colazione è particolarmente ricca, con proposte che vanno da dolci da forno e porridge a pane francese dolce e panini con pollo fritto.

Lovely boutique hotel in Stockholm We had a lovely stay at Stockholm Stadshotell. The hotel is in a great location in a quiet neighbourhood, slightly further out from the main centre but still within walking distance of plenty of places. We also found it really easy to get picked up from the hotel when needed, which was convenient. The staff were one of the highlights of our stay. Everyone was incredibly friendly and welcoming, particularly the girls on reception, who were so lovely and chatty. The bar staff were also very friendly and made us feel really at home during our stay. We were a group of three (2 sisters and our mum) and were really pleased with the room. It was great to be able to stay together in one room, and the sofa bed was surprisingly comfortable! The room was clean, fresh and well presented, with everything we needed. The hotel has a lovely boutique feel and the rooms felt both functional and luxurious. Our room was on the ground floor, but we didn’t find it noisy at all and slept really well. Overall, we really enjoyed our stay. The combination of the quiet location, beautiful boutique style, comfortable rooms and, most importantly, the lovely staff made this a great base for exploring Stockholm. Unfortunately, the sauna was out of order on these days. We would happily stay here again!
One of the best stays I’ve had in a while. A warm welcoming staff. Beautifully decorated. Wonderful soft linens and cloud like pillows. A very comfortable sleep. High end fixtures in the bathrooms. Loved the neighborhood tons of wonderful cafes.
I loved my stay at Stockholm Stadshotell. The hotel itself is beautifully curated; boutique, thoughtful design, and a great location. The staff is wonderfully helpful. It feels like you've stepped into a trend, big estate house in the middle of Stockholm. I highly recommend this hotel.
