Un rifugio riservato in stile dimora storica nel cuore della Provenza
Nel tranquillo villaggio di Vallabrègues, Maison Salix propone un modo più intimo di vivere la Provenza. Ospitata all’interno di una dimora secolare tra Avignone, Arles e Nîmes, assomiglia meno a un classico boutique hotel e più a una casa privata ricca di fascino, dove storia, design e senso di armonia convivono in modo naturale. Pietra, legno, antichi camini e luce soffusa donano profondità e carattere agli interni, mentre l’atmosfera resta fresca, rilassata e discretamente raffinata, mai formale.
Ogni suite ha una personalità propria, e questo rende l’intera dimora ancora più unica. Alcune si aprono su giardini privati, altre dispongono di terrazze panoramiche, mentre altre ancora offrono spazi abitativi più ampi o persino una piscina privata, regalando fin dal primo momento una sensazione di spazio e privacy. It’s tempting to keep Maison Salix a secret, because it really is a gem. The building itself is beautiful. Rooms are enormous and finished to a very high standard, as are all the facilities. The interiors are effortlessly chic, with pieces from local designers, as well as further afield - it’s clear everything has been chosen with purpose and care, from the scent filling the room to the toiletries which add to the luxury. I also must mention the gym which has to be one of the best (hotel) gyms I’ve ever used! Hugues has a gift for hosting, welcoming you in from the moment you arrive. He works extremely hard (always with contagious joy!) to make the experience memorable and personal for all his guests. The team, mostly from the village, do a wonderful job. The food is delicious - from the beautifully presented breakfast spreads to the dinner offered three nights a week. I’ve already ordered one of the recipe books Hugues mentioned he used in the loose hope of recreating the experience! My husband and I loved the calm of the village, but be prepared to jump in the car for 15-20 minutes on evenings when dinner isn’t offered at Maison Salix. We hope it won’t be the last time staying at Maison Salix. A truly wonderful experience!
We had the most amazing stay at Maison Salix with our baby. Hugues was incredible and his food was lovely. Nothing was too hard for him and he was so accomodating. It was such a lovely relaxing stay and I highly recommend!
Amazing stay!! A delighful hidden gem boutique hotel in a quiet village, just 20 minutes from Avignon and Arles. We have never been to a hotel with such curated design and beautiful style. The owners have thought of everything to make you feel at home. Super comfortable beds, pristine bathrooms inside the spacious rooms. Breakfast in the beautiful outdoor space was our highlight with tons of home cooked food and fresh fruit. We spent our days relaxing by the pool. You're lucky if you are there for their amazing dinner nights at the chateau. The truly special thing about this place is the host. He put so much care into our stay, it felt like we were his family. We are forever grateful for this home away from home. We will be back!
