"With a really convenient location, and a series of specific services, the Hilton Milan
turns out to be an excellent support point for business customers,
but also for those who want to visit the city of Milan."
TOP WORLD HOTEL Certificate
Entering the Hilton Milan, you will find a welcoming, modern and tastefully furnished lobby, with excellent design details.
To your right there are 3 check-in stations, which allow easy and fast registration, while continuing towards the lift area (4 in total) there are two relaxation areas with sofas and armchairs. Here guests can relax, read or work. Undoubtedly an area in which to enjoy the common spaces that the hotel offers.
The Hilton Milan hotel has 319 very spacious and clean rooms. Unfortunately, unlike the lobby, the rooms have a bland decor, without a particular style, and are generic and dated. Mattresses get high marks as do the soft bedding and sheets.
Even the bathroom is definitely not up to the best 4 stars. It deserves a modernization and almost certainly a comfortable and spacious shower. Of note is the excellent soundproofing of the rooms, which allows a good rest both at night and during the day.
There are three types of rooms including Guest Rooms, Suites and Executive Rooms.
Rooms include an LCD TV, kettle for coffee and hot drinks, complete bathroom set, mini-bar for a fee, and in some cases, access to the Executive Lounge, with outdoor terrace and free refreshments.
The Hotel has a really good and strategic position. It is only a 1 minute walk from the central train station and the metro station, and with a walk of about 30 minutes you can reach the center of Milan. To note that, especially at night, in the area of the Milan station you need to pay a little more attention.
The airports of Linate, Malpensa, and Bergamo Orio al Serio are connected by shuttle service (about 40 minutes) to the Central Station.
Hilton Milan is close to some of Milan’s main interest interest, such as Castello Sforzesco (2.5 km/1.55 miles) and Terrazza Sul Duomo (2.5 km/1.55 miles). Pinacoteca di Brera and Teatro alla Scala are cultural highlights, and some of the area’s notable landmarks include Castello Sforzesco and Arco della Pace.
Food & Drink
Inside the Hilton Milan there is the Concept 45, a restaurant where you can taste Italian dishes with local ingredients. We have not tried the restaurant, so we cannot give you our personal opinion.
The intercontinental buffet breakfast, available from 06:30 to 10:30 on week days, and from 06:30 to 11:00 on weekend, offers a good variety of savory dishes, fruit juices, variety of cereals, cheeses and hams.
There is a workstation where a chef prepares pancakes, waffles and eggs in different ways. The variety of sweet foods should be increased.
Overall the breakfast is quite varied, but considering the cost of € 29.50, the quality/price ratio is not satisfactory.
With some rooms, access to the executive lounge is included, where it is possible to have breakfast (reduced compared to the main one), an excellent Aperitivo from 18:30 to 20:30 and an after dinner from 20:30 to 21:30. There is a small terrace in which to consume the dishes, but the view is not the best, because obstructed by metal bars and a net.
The staff is friendly and sufficiently prepared to respond and satisfy any request. At the entrance of the Hotel, there is always security personnel to ensure that guests are assisted in any eventuality.
The Hotel has a 24-hour fitness center that offers cardio and weight equipment, perfect for those who want to keep fit at any time of the day.
A business center has semi-private desks with leather chairs and desktop computers. There are 13 spacious meeting rooms with seating for up to 200.
The presence of an ATM and a PC with internet connection is very useful.
At the time of check-in, a credit card is required to guarantee pre-payment for the mini-bar and any drinks (it is returned if nothing is consumed). The figure is a calculation based on the cost of the room and other various calculations. A system used by the Hotel that certainly decreases the trust towards its customers.
Wi-Fi in the common areas is completely free, but it is charged in the room (free if you register for the Hilton program). Private parking is available for € 25 a day.
The Hilton Milan, given the location and the typology of the structure, is a Hotel mainly suitable for business clients.
