My sister and I had the absolute pleasure of staying at Corral Del Rey during our visit to Seville. Where do I even begin! Let me start by talking about the hotel itself, as well as the location. The hotel is set to create an “at home” feeling; it’s very intimate and cozy. There’s a living room/library in the lobby filled with art history books, games, and a self serve bar. Although the hotel has minimal staff (who are excellent), it is extremely safe as guests are provided with a code to enter each of the buildings (there are two buildings, I believe, that hold all the rooms. The room itself was extremely spacious and comfortable. There’s a mini kitchenette area hidden behind closet doors, with a fridge and microwave, as complimentary coffee and teas. The room featured high ceilings, many windows for natural light, and beautiful Andalusian decor. Also, the shower was incredible and the hot water was HOT! There was extreme attention to details as there was a personal welcome card written and left for us in our room upon our arrival, as well as a little bottle of extra virgin olive oil for us to take home. Anytime an employee entered the room (the clean or drop something we requested off), we were left with little treats (such as orange slices and MnM’s, for example). So cute:) Moving onto the staff. When we arrived to the hotel, we were met with one of the managers (I believe this was her role) named Rocio. the most hospitable and personable woman. She was such a delightful person; we felt as though we were being hosted in her own home! She made sure we were completely taken care of and it was such a warm feeling. She gave us wonderful recommendations for food and activities. Her colleagues were equally as wonderful, as well. If you’re planning to visit Seville, I highly recommend staying here. We will definitely be back and look forward to it!

We’ve just returned from 5 days staying here and to say they thought of everything is an understatement. Hot powerful shower, huge comfortable bed and pillows and delicious breakfast are the standards I look for anywhere I stay it’s the little things that took it above and beyond. The warm welcome by Joyce when we arrived later than expected and his knowledge of the history of the city and his recommendations of where to visit and eat. The ladies that served us breakfast in the morning - outstanding customer service. The architecture of the building was stunning and located very close to the cathedral and palace. For me it was the little touches like the lighting along the bottom of the walls and stairs you wouldn’t know were there until you turned them on. The exquisite decor of the room and the welcome note. We stayed in room 16 which has its own terrace and plunge pool where you have a second mini bar, sofa, chairs and a table. The Bose portable music system. So when you’ve been out and about sight seeing in the heat it’s the perfect place to cool down, relax and unwind with a good book and your favourite tipple. The pleasant sound of the church bells can also be heard from the terrace. It really was a haven of peace and tranquility. They provide light cotton robes which were a welcome necessity I didn’t realise I needed. If I had just a tiny niggle it would be the high pitched squeak on the mini bar door on the terrace and I would re-think about replacing the umbrella with roll out awning if possible because I found myself chasing the shade. I don’t know who is responsible for getting this so right but whoever you are, hats off to you and thank you for making our first but by no means last, trip to Seville unforgettable. We cannot wait to return to the Coral De Rey.
