A spirited and sophisticated stay that captures Ibiza at its most electric
Right in the centre of Ibiza Town, The Standard Ibiza leans into the island’s livelier side with confidence. Plaza Vara de Rey is on the doorstep, Dalt Vila rises just beyond, the port is a short walk away, and the whole hotel seems tuned to the energy of late dinners, rooftop drinks and nights that rarely end when they are supposed to. This is not a hideaway built for disappearing. It is a place that wants to be in the middle of things and makes that feel very good indeed.
Inside, the mood is playful, glossy and a little bit provocative, with retro lines, warm woods, leather, bold prints and plenty of greenery softening the scene. The rooms and suites feel polished but never stiff, and the larger categories bring even more personality, with views over the square or towards Dalt Vila and enough space to make the room part of the night, not just where it ends. For groups, Casa Privada takes that idea further: a 14-bedroom private house just steps from the hotel with its own plunge pool, hot tubs, spa, gym, bar and lounge, giving the whole stay a more exclusive, anything-goes rhythm.
Above it all, the rooftop is where the hotel really slips into character. In the earlier hours, the pool belongs to guests and offers a calm pocket above the city, edged by plants and looking out towards the port. Later, the atmosphere shifts. The light softens, cocktails arrive, the music turns up, and what began as an easy evening can tilt very naturally into something far less restrained.
Ibiza Town is worth exploring, but the island has plenty more to see, from Sant Antoni and Santa Eulària to beach clubs, quiet coves and long beach days. Hiring a car is the easiest way to get around, whether from the airport or in town, and the hotel offers secure underground parking for guests only at €32 per day.

The bathroom counter and floors could’ve been cleaned better since there was some grime, but aside from that the location and services at the hotel is amazing.
