Monteverdi Tuscany

A hilltop Tuscan village for slow living
High above the Val d’Orcia, Monteverdi Tuscany feels less like a hotel and more like a small medieval village you get to borrow for a while. Cobbled lanes, quiet corners, an ancient church and art-filled spaces set the tone, with those classic Tuscan views rolling out in every direction.
The village does the storytelling, with historic stone and original architecture kept beautifully intact and a gentle contemporary layer added where it counts. Suites and rooms lean into rural romance with warm materials, wood-beamed ceilings, elegant details and curated artworks; some open onto terraces or private outdoor space, while the private village houses offer extra space for longer stays.
Life here is unhurried. Gardens bloom across the grounds, and the infinity pool looks out over the verdant Val d’Orcia, framed by lavender and long summer light. There’s also an indoor pool as part of the wellness circuit, alongside saunas, plunge pools, a sensory shower and a relaxation area; the outdoor pool is typically open from late April to late October, weather depending.

Reviews
Earlier this week we drove up to Monteverdi one afternoon. We found the old village fantastic well renovated. Of course we did not see any of the rooms, but the church, lounge, bar and restaurants were looking astonish. We had a concert in the church before a meal at Zita restaurant. Thanks to management for the work done
