The Hoxton, Florence

A Florentine story told in colour and light
Once a noble palazzo on the quiet banks of the Arno, The Hoxton Florence feels both rooted in history and made for the present. Behind its terracotta façade, spaces unfold with an easy elegance — terrazzo floors, sculptural furniture, and soft light drifting through tall windows. It’s Florence seen through a designer’s eye: creative, bold, and effortlessly warm.
The hotel blends two souls: a Renaissance residence rich in character and a modernist wing imagined by architect Andrea Branzi in the 1980s. Inside, vintage pieces meet clean lines, Italian fabrics add depth and texture, and every detail carries the quiet poetry of craftsmanship. Some rooms open onto leafy terraces, others overlook the rooftops and domes that define the city’s skyline.

Reviews
Charming rooms with complimentary waters in an actually cold refrigerator (this actually felt like quite a luxury for Europe), front desk service was gracious and very helpful. 10-15 minute walk from the center but that was kind of nice, and directly across from a very traditional Tuscan trattoria. Would stay here again!
Can’t fault our stay here. Rooms were spacious & clean, the breakfast was very good (small buffet plus a choice of a la carte menu). Best breakfast we’ve had on our trip so far. About a 15/ 20 min walk into the centre of Florence which was fine for us, good restaurants nearby too and a laundry service over the road. The courtyard was cute to have drinks at too. Staff were helpful & friendly. You have access to a direct WhatsApp chat with the front desk to ask any questions while you’re there. Would definitely return
Staff make this place really welcoming and nothing is a problem for them, real team spirit that gives a great feeling of being cared for.
This was one of the best hotels stays I’ve had in quite some time. From check-in with Felipo, the staff explain everything about the property, and they are happy to accommodate transferring luggage to the room Location: this location is perfect to walk into the city (approx. 10-15min), but then in the evenings it is quiet for a perfect night of rest. Service/Staff: although we did not encounter many of the service issues regarding, I would leave on bit of advice. If you are traveling to another country and primary language is not your first language, please try to learn simple phrases to break the ice. With that said, I’d love to extend a thank you to our servers Giada and Milo…service was always excellent and pleasant. We look forward to coming back to the Hoxton Florence next year to explore Firenze again!
