A car is recommended to make the most of Relais San Giuliano’s location in Viagrande, between Mount Etna and the coast. From here, guests can easily explore Etna’s villages and wineries, the historic streets of Catania, the Riviera dei Ciclopi and Taormina with more freedom. Driving in this part of Sicily is generally straightforward, although traffic around Catania can feel lively at times. Private parking is possible on site, reservation is needed, and costs €20 per day.

We had an amazing stay at Relais San Giuliano! After a flight cancellation out of Catania due to Etna eruptions, we were stranded and found this amazing gem at the foot of the volcano. The hotel has beautiful spacious rooms, a gorgeous property with all the amenities. We loved leisurely days by the pool and the service was top notch. We were lucky to stumble upon this beautiful place and it was a great way to extend our trip.

El servicio ha sido excelente durante toda nuestra estancia, siempre atentos y muy amables. La piscina es maravillosa, en un entorno muy cuidado y relajante. Y una mención especial merece el restaurante: absolutamente excepcional, tanto por la calidad de la comida como por el servicio y el ambiente. Una experiencia realmente de lujo. Lo recomendaríamos especialmente a quien busque tranquilidad, buen servicio y disfrutar de Sicilia en un entorno especial. Sin duda, un lugar al que volveríamos. Muy recomendable.

My wife and I had an incredible experience here for the first few nights of our honeymoon (wish we stayed more nights there)… The grounds are beautifully taken care of, the food was amazing, and the hotel staff were the most considerate and friendly people we met during our 2 weeks in Sicily. We can’t say enough good things about the staff and how well taken care of we felt throughout our whole stay. We are already saying we want to spend one of our anniversaries back at Relais San Giuliano
