A sea-facing wellness retreat on Sicily’s wild southern coast

Set above Sicily’s south-western coast near Siculiana, ADLER Sicilia looks across the protected landscape of the Torre Salsa Nature Reserve. Pine forests, orange groves and Mediterranean gardens descend towards a long stretch of fine sand, while the sea fills the horizon beyond. The setting feels open and deeply restorative, shaped by salt air, warm light and the untouched beauty of one of the island’s most remarkable coastal landscapes.

The resort has been designed to sit quietly within its surroundings. Low, single-storey buildings follow the natural contours of the hillside, allowing the gardens and native vegetation to remain the strongest presence. Its accommodations are all suites, with spacious Junior Suites and larger Family Suites, each opening onto a private panoramic terrace. Wood, terracruda and soft natural textures create calm, light-filled interiors, while the Family Suites offer two separate bedrooms, each with its own bathroom.

Around 300 metres below the resort, the beach is reached by electric shuttle or along a ten-minute path through the pine forest. What waits at the bottom is a peaceful sweep of sand framed by dunes and Mediterranean vegetation. Back above the coastline, water shapes the day through the gently heated Dolce Pool, the warmer Sole Pool, a semi-Olympic sports pool and a thalasso pool overlooking the landscape. Some are made for long swims, others for simply staying still and letting the view take over.
