Set on the corner of Merrion Square in Dublin city centre, The Mont places the capital within easy walking distance. Inside, the mood is contemporary rather than traditionally Georgian. Bold colours, patterned fabrics and industrial-inspired details run through the public spaces and 96 bedrooms, including six suites, giving the hotel an urban character. Accommodation ranges from compact Cosy Doubles to larger rooms and suites, with air conditioning, high-speed WiFi, Smart TVs with Chromecast and walk-in rainforest showers. The largest Dreamy Suites extend to around 37 square metres and add a living area and sofa bed.

The hotel’s social centre is The Sin Bin, a modern take on an Irish sports bar with its own street entrance. The atmosphere shifts easily from afternoon drinks to match nights, with four screens and a projector showing major sporting events. Cocktails, whiskey, beer and wine shape the drinks list, while the adjoining Winter Garden brings a lighter, greener feel. Outdoor seating facing Merrion Square adds another option when the weather allows.

Mornings begin at Speranza, where breakfast is served in a bright dining room with floor-to-ceiling windows and views towards the Oscar Wilde statue. The emphasis is on a relaxed start to the day, with a continental buffet and locally sourced produce. Later, the surrounding streets open up central Dublin’s restaurant and pub scene, making the hotel well positioned for guests who prefer to explore the city on foot.
