Built into the cliffs of Dinard, with its towers, terraces and Belle Époque silhouette overlooking Prieuré Bay, this luxury hotel in Brittany feels like a private seaside residence suspended between rock, sky and water. Designers Sandra Benhamou and Léonie Alma Mason have preserved the hotel’s art deco spirit, bringing in bold patterns, marine tones and contemporary details that feel naturally connected to the coast outside. The 23 rooms and suites all face the water, so the view becomes part of daily life here, from the first light of morning to the boats drifting through the bay at night. Some suites have wraparound terraces made for slow sunrises and evening drinks, while the belvedere suite is pure romance, with panoramic windows framing the sea from both the bed and the freestanding bathtub.

Life at Castelbrac follows the rhythm of the water. Days can begin with a swim in the heated stone pool, tucked into the hotel’s cliffside structure, before stretching out on the solarium or setting off along the coast. Guests can take to the sea on the hotel’s yacht, explore Dinard by electric bike, walk the promenade or find a quiet moment in the small chapel, a rare and intimate detail that adds to the hotel’s feeling of retreat.
